Date 10th March 2018
Venue The Buckles Inn, York
What comes after yesterday's pioneers and today's passionate enthusiasts? Hopefully a new generation - truly inspired and ready to shape a new era!– Greg Spencer - Chair - Yorkshire & Humberside RDT
Join us for an afternoon and evening celebrating what's great about canoe & kayak... and looking to great times ahead - all welcome!
Arrive 1pm for a 1.15pm start - enjoy presentations by Pioneers in everything from sea kayaking to river running - find out what's happening across the north - get the latest on our new Linton WW course - take your pick!
From 6.30pm, Darren Clarkson-King and friends will be centre stage with stories from a lifetime in and around boating - from roots in Yorkshire to encounters with little know pioneers of WW kayaking!
Darren's presentations are inspiring, fun and fabulously photographed. His deep love of Nepal and its people shines through. His life in Nepal is about responsibility and development as much as it is about paddling massive rivers.– Bradford & Bingley Canoe Club
We'd love to just "go with the flow" at our event, but we're ranging from playboating and surf to sea kayaking and expeditions - so there's a lot to pack in!
