North West Facilities

There are a number of cracking facilities that the British Canoeing North West Regional Development Team support: Halton Rapids, Burrs Country Park along with strategic input to the construction of the whitewater course in Warrington.

We have two facilities that access too can be granted by the NW RDT, Halton and Burrs. Warrington is a scheme to introduce accessible white water to the Merseyside area.

Halton Rapids are located on the River Lune adjacent to Junction 34 on the M6. The NW RDT provide the administration support to allow access to the facilities within the Mill Building and car parking spaces.

Burrs Country Park is located on the River Irwell just outside Bury going towards Ramsbottom.

Warrington White Water is a proposed scheme within Victoria Park, Warrington using the flow from the River Mersey.
