Successful Coach Development Weekend

Region's first Development Weekend rated a success by those that attended. The weather helped as there was a good dose of Spring sunshine. By the end of the Sunday there were three main outcomes 

• Coaches going away with a better understanding of the ethos of the new Personal Performance Awards and how to use them in their own settings to inspire and encourage participation.
• An Aspirant Coach with a really clear understanding of what a Coach Assessment looks like and relishing the opportunity he had to work with some learners and think about the process of improving paddlers.
• Lastly, learners who had volunteered to be coached going away full of new found confidence in their paddling. They were also asking when the region will be organising another weekend.
