Jonny Dickson

Slalom -

After competing on the canoe slalom junior K1 international circuit during 2019, Jonny is on the British Canoeing World Class Programme for the first time in 2020.

Krakow for the Junior canoe Slalom World Championships is where Jonny had most of his success, coming away with a team medal and also being extremely close to securing an individual one too.

Alongside Etienne Chappell and Ben Haylett, Jonny was part of the trio that triumphed in the Junior K1 teams event to claim World Championship gold.

Confidence from that showed in the junior's individual performances, easing through both the heats and semi-finals before narrowly missing out on a podium finish in the final - taking fourth spot.

Fourth place was Jonny's second top ten finish of the season, after finishing in seventh at the junior European Championships.
