Mallory Franklin, the most successful female canoeist in Great Britain, achieved a remarkable silver medal during her debut at the Tokyo Games in the inaugural Women's C1 event at the Olympics.
In 2023, Mallory continued to shine by soaring to her second career World title with an unbeatable performance in the women’s C1 discipline at the World Championships held at Lee Valley, in front of her enthusiastic home crowd. This remarkable victory also secured her nation's boat quota for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics. Her exceptional year was marked by the accumulation of seven medals across the season.
Since her breakthrough Olympic success in Tokyo, Mallory has consistently demonstrated her prowess on the international stage. She earned an impressive 11 medals during the 2022 season, including the title of European Champion and a bronze medal at the World Championships.
Mallory will be battling it out for two medals at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

2023 saw some impressive consistency as he reached three consecutive finals in the Men's C1, narrowly missing the podium on a few occasions, as well as two team medals including silver at the World Championships.
Great Britain’s first ever C1 U23 World Champion in 2015, Burgess has been growing in stature over the last few years, becoming the 2018 European Championships silver medallist and a World Cup silver medallist on his home course of Lee Valley in 2019, as well as more recently winning bronze at the 2022 Krakow World Cup.
Joe Clarke MBE - Canoe Slalom

Joe became a prominent figure in the global canoeing community after making history to become the first ever British athlete to win K1 canoe slalom gold at Olympic level at the 2016 Games.
Having missed out on the Tokyo 2020 Games, the 30-year-old started the 2023 season as a new dad with a new found sense of responsibility, with a new coach and the burning desire for redemption fuelling his ambition to get back to the top of the sport.
This showed on the water, having his best season to date after winning eight medals across the international season including two World titles at a home World Championships in Lee Valley White Water Centre, winning his maiden men’s kayak title and adding a third consecutive kayak cross gold medal to his achievements.
Kimberley Woods - Canoe Slalom
Women's Kayak and Women's Kayak Cross
Home town: Rugby
Club: Rugby Canoe Club
Coach: Craig Morris

Kimberley Woods realised her Olympic dream at the Tokyo 2020 Games, as she qualified for her first Games racing the women’s kayak.
Off the back of her debut Games after finishing 10th, Kimberley went on to produce her best ever result at the senior World Championships, winning bronze in the women's kayak despite being involved in a car accident whilst out in Bratislava just days before the competition got underway.
Since then, Kimberley has become a World Champion for the first, winning the kayak cross World Championships in emphatic fashion in front of a roaring home crowd at Lee Valley White Water Centre.
Kimberley won eight medals during the 2023 season, including four at the home World Championships at the London 2012 Olympic venue, winning women’s canoe silver at the same event in addition to her world title.
Kimberley will be doubling up this Games as she races the women's kayak and kayak cross.
