  • Good practice guidance for BCAB Instructors, Coaches and Leaders: British Canoeing Awarding Body Instructor, Coach and Leader qualifications are well respected throughout the world, due to the robust training and assessments that take place through a regulated framework of verification and standardisation. We would encourage anyone with responsibility for paddlers on the water to consider these good practice guidelines
  • GCSE, AS and A Level PE - Kayaking and Canoeing: British Canoeing Awarding Body has been working with the OCR to review and shape the new criteria for GCSE, AS and A Level in PE for kayaking and canoeing. The new criteria is now available and is closely aligned with our educational philosophy and approach in developing skills and independence in paddlesport craft.
  • UK Coaching's Coach Learning Framework: UK Coaching have shared an insight-based Coach Learning Framework which helps coaches grow and develop their coaching knowledge and their confidence to deliver great sessions. It equips coaches with a toolkit of skills to enable them to support participants and enhance their enjoyment and performance in sport and physical activity.
  • Updating your Continuous Professional Development (CPD): CPD is the process of maintaining and enhancing your knowledge, skills and ability after your initial training, so you can keep up to date and current with best practice. Aligned with our Educational Philosophy, CPD is individualised, allowing you to consider what areas you may need to develop.
