Day three of the 2021 Junior & U23 Canoe Slalom World Championships saw Beth Forrow, Ellis Miller and Sophie Ogilvie all qualify through to the semi-finals in the C1W U23 event.
Following the nine British athletes who qualified yesterday, Ellis Miller was first to take on the Slovenian course in Ljubljana – Tacen. The Lee Valley paddler posted a clean run of 87.27 to progress safely through to Saturday’s semi-finals.
Beth Forrow joined her Lee Valley teammate into Saturday after posting a time 88.52 to finish 18th. The 2019 junior European bronze medalist picked up eight seconds worth of penalties on the way down but her raw pace was quickest time of the day.
CR Cats’ Sophie Ogilvie required a second run after missing gate 10 on her first attempt, but delivered a 94.19 in the second heat to join her teammates in the next round.
