British Canoeing has published the Annual Report for 2020 and the Annual Review 2020-21 – a progress report on Stronger Together.
Both documents were presented at the Annual General Meeting, held virtually on 13 March 2021.
The Annual Report is the document containing contributions from the key committees and groups within the sport, including the Coaching Strategy Group, Safety Panel, competition disciplines and the regional development teams.
The report provides details on the committee structure of British Canoeing, outlining the British and English functions of the organisation.
The report also includes information on the British Canoeing Board, a financial report and annual accounts, and updates on governance and membership.
The Annual Review is a progress report on Stronger Together the four-year strategic plan for the whole sport, which guides the work of British Canoeing.
The review also includes a national actions dashboard to illustrate progress. 50 of the 67 plans in Stronger Together have so far been completed, with 16 on track.
2020 should have been the final full year of delivery for the strategic plan, but due to impact of Covid-19, the plan has been extended by a year, up to March 2022.
At the AGM a series of videos were presented to show case progress on five of the 11 ambition areas within the strategic plan on membership growth, clubs, access, performance and coaching.
The videos are available to view on the British Canoeing YouTube channel.
