British Canoeing Directors x 2 (England) From March 2022

The English Forum nominates three members to the Board of British Canoeing and is now looking to fill two vacancies that will occur from March 2022. 

Any full Member of British Canoeing who lives in England is eligible to apply for these two positions.

Candidates should have a passion for paddling and a good understanding of the structure and strategy of British Canoeing within England, and ideally have experience of working within clubs, centres or one or more of the committees of British Canoeing.

The Board has recently completed a skills audit and is committed to working to create the ideal skills and diversity mix within the Board. 

Candidates will ideally have experience in one of more of the following areas; Competition discipline specific experience, clubs and volunteering, coaching and leadership, recreational paddling, equality, diversity and inclusion, sustainability, anti-doping, safeguarding, performance sport, safety, marketing, finance, people development.

The Board would also particularly welcome applications from under-represented groups on the Board, in particular from women, people from ethnic minorities and people with disabilities.

This is a voluntary role. Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
