Three paddlers have been recognised in the annual Queen’s New Year Honours list.
Tamsin Phipps and Kelda Wood were awarded MBEs, with Keith Axbey recognised with the British Empire Medal (BEM).
Tamsin Phipps was recognised for her voluntary services to waterways and to young people.
A former member of staff at British Canoeing, Tamsin has supported a range of organisations, including the Girl Guides and the Canal and River Trust - as chair of the Kennet & Avon Waterways Partnership.
Kelda Wood, a former member of the Paracanoe team, was awarded an MBE for her work with her charity Climbing Out, which helps young people who have suffered life-changing mental or physical trauma.
Cub Scout leader Keith Axbey was awarded a BEM for services to scouting and canoeing in Surrey and South West London.
