Three paddlers have been recognised in the annual Queen’s New Year Honours list.

Kelda Wood, a former member of the Paracanoe team, was awarded an MBE for her work with her charity Climbing Out, which helps young people who have suffered life-changing mental or physical trauma.

Cub Scout leader Keith Axbey was awarded a BEM for services to scouting and canoeing in Surrey and South West London.
