British Canoeing has announced the date for the 41st Annual General Meeting as Saturday 13 March 2021.
The AGM is a formal meeting of British Canoeing members, and provides an opportunity to review the work of the organisation over the past 12 months, as well as noting current progress against the strategy.
In addition, the meeting allows formal discussion and approval of the organisation’s finances, as well as confirmation of the appointment of Board Directors and the President.
The government recently announced an extension to temporary legislative provisions in the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020, allowing companies to conduct AGMs virtually without requiring changes to the Articles of Association.
In order to comply with current government guidelines relating to Covid-19 and to ensure as many members as possible can safely attend the meeting, members will be invited to attend the British Canoeing 2021 AGM virtually.
The meeting will start at 10am and all of our members are welcome to attend.
Further details of the business of the AGM, including the virtual platform joining arrangements, the agenda, and voting by proxy form will be posted on British Canoeing’s website on or before Friday 19th February 2021.
