British Canoeing has been informed of the sad news that Alison Setchell has passed away.
Anyone who has been connected with Canoe Slalom will have known Alison for her involvement in the sport for over 40 years.
Whether on the bank as a Qualified ICF Official or Section Judge, working behind the scenes with the England Slalom Committee, or arranging training at Lee Valley, Alison dedicated so much of her time to the sport she loved.
She also continued to compete and enjoyed paddling rough water in the company of other veterans at Division 1 events.
Alison was also devoted to her family, husband Martyn and their daughter Nikita.
Alison's Funeral will be on Wednesday 15th July at 1pm. All are welcome to join with Martyn and Nikita on the live stream to celebrate Alison's life.
Further details are available on the Slalom UK website.
