British Canoeing is pleased to announce the successful appointment of two new independent International Panel members, following a successful recruitment process over the winter.
Former international paddler Hayleigh Mason has been appointed to the Sprint/Paracanoe International Panel, bringing with her a great athlete perspective and knowledge of the sport, having been a member of the British team for a number of years.
With a wealth of experience in canoeing within a number of domestic and international roles, Jim McConnachie has been appointed to the Slalom International Panel.
Andy Maddock, Head of Performance Operations for British Canoeing, said: “These appointments will be fantastic additions to our International Panels.
“We would like to thank all of those that have applied as we head into the 2019 season with these appointments in place and we look forwards to a successful season of competition.”
Adverts for positions on the Slalom International Panel and the Sprint/Paracanoe International Panel went out in December and both Hayleigh and Jim will take up their new roles with immediate effect.
