Youngsters to realise Olympic Hopes

A squad of 22 additional athletes have been selected to compete at the Olympic Hopes Regatta, set to be held in Poznan in September, with some set to pull on a Great Britain vest for the first time.

The paddlers were added to the team following a fantastic weekend of competitive racing at the July Regatta at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham.  

The additional athletes selected to represent Great Britain at the Olympic Hopes Regatta are:

U17 Men’s Kayak: Alex Greaves (Royal Leamington Spa) , Daniel Atkins (Reading) , Zak Benstead (Elmbridge) ,Fred Kemp (Reading)

U17 Men’s Canoe:  Thomas Lambert (Lee Valley), William Thomas (Ind)

U16/15 Men’s Kayak: Jack Brockway (Linlithgow), Edward Nightingale (Wiltshire Youth), Toby Booth (Norwich), Ben Want (Norwich), Rory Stewart (Addlestone), Maksymilian Sielicki (Forth) 

U16/15 Men’s Canoe: Maxim Kimberley (Longridge)

U16/U15 Women’s Kayak: Georgia Carmichael (Longridge) , Kate Hipkins (Longridge), Melody Hills (Richmond), Yun Ip (Richmond), Grace Anderson (Norwich), Sophia Groves (Norwich), Amber Cox (Elmbridge), Alexandra Armstrong (Linlithgow)
