Please be aware from Monday 13th August there will be works undertaken at Symonds Yat on the River Wye. Whilst the river will remain accessible, paddlers may be asked to pause their journey briefly whilst the machine operator ensures it is safe to pass. There is portage available around the works if required.
The works involve the re-alignment of some of the big boulders which form the groynes to protect the island creating the rapids, making the site popular. The groynes on the whole have been stable.
The works are expected to take 3 days.
We thank you for your patience whilst these essential works are carried out.
