Make sure you head down to the Holme Pierrepoint Open on the 1 & 2 of September for an action packed weekend full of different disciplines competing.
It is the final sprint and paracanoe regatta of the season, kicking off on 1 September, as they race the Inter-Services Championship and Open & National Paracanoe, Senior, U23 and Junior Sprint Championship Regatta.
A number of World Champions are in action as well as some up and coming juniors. We have put together a list of some of the competitors for those who want to know a little more about the international competitors taking part in the weekend event.
Rob is the 2017 European silver medallist in KL3 200m and came 6th at the World Championships later in the year.
Rob came 5th in the competitive KL3 200m event at the Rio Paralympics.
2018 started well for Nick when he won silver in the K1 200m KL2 at the European Championships in Belgrade, building on the bronze medal he won at the same event in 2017.
Nick's debut in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games saw him take Bronze in the K1 200m KL2 event. In the previous year, Nick finished 3rd in the K1 200m KL2 event at the World Championships.
In only his second season of international racing, he became 2018 European Champion in the V1 200m VL3 in Belgrade and made the final in the KL2 event.
Ian won a Bronze medal in the KL1 200m event at Paracanoe's debut at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. He is the 2017 European silver medallist and was 4th at the World Championships the same year.
In his first international season he won both European and World Championships bronze medals in the V1 200m VL3 class,
After World Cup and European Championships silver medals this year, she went on to become the K1 200m KL2 World Champion and also took bronze in the V1 200m VL3 class.
Chelsey reached the A Final in her first World Championships in 2018 during the KL3 event. She was identified by a British Canoeing Talent Identification process and earned a place on the Podium Potential Programme from July 2017
2017 saw Tom compete in the Junior and Under 23 World Championships in Pitesti, Romania where he finished 7th in the Under 23 K1 500m race.
Hannah claimed a bronze medal at the 2017 World Championships in the K2 200m, finishing third with Angela Hannah. 2018 has seen Hannah move into the K4 boat, where they claimed 7th place finishes at World Cups 1 & 2.
Rachel Cawthorn is a 2 x Olympian women's K1 and K4 sprint kayaker. 2017 saw Rachel take two bronze medals in the K1 1000m, the first in the European Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The second bronze medal was at the World Championships in Racice, Czech Republic.
Rebi had a fantastic year in 2017 where her highlight was becoming the Under 23 Bronze medallist in the K1 Under 23 1000m event in the Junior and Under 23 World Championships in Pitesti, Romania.
Katie had an excellent start to the 2018 international season, winning a bronze medal in the C1 200m event at World Cup 2 in Duisburg, going one better than 2017 where she finished fourth at the first World Cup of the year.
In 2018, Ben won bronze in the K1 Junior Men 200m at the Piestany International Regatta in Slovakia and also took a second place finish in the B Final at the Junior & U23 European Championships.
Enya Dale and Zoe Clark
Enya Dale and Zoe Clark combined in the K2 Junior Women 200m at the Piestany International Regatta 2018 in Slovakia to win silver earlier in the season. The pair competed in the K4 boat across the season too.
Alix combined with Charlotte Carey in the C2 Junior Women 200m to win a bronze medal at the Piestany International Regatta 2018.
