Membership of British Canoeing is changing in April 2018!

From 23 April we will have new membership categories and a new membership portal which will bring a host of positive benefits and changes for members, coaches and clubs.

Benefits to members

  1. Digital membership cards
    We will provide members with a digital version of their membership card in addition to sending out the hard copy of licence
  2. Targeted communications
    By asking additional questions about your interests we will be able to communicate with you more appropriately
  3. Easier ways to manage your account
    It will be easier to access and manage your account and add in your Emergency Contact Information
  4. Control your purchases
    Members can purchase additional items throughout the year
  5. New membership categories
    New membership categories to suit your needs! From a simple newsletter sign up, membership specifically for volunteers and officials, to membership covering those paddling, competing and coaching.
  6. Easier to update your details
    Easier to set up and manage family records and upgrade or change categories through the year

Benefits to coaches

  1. View your qualifications
    Coaches will be able to view your qualification held on your record

  2. Update your status
    You will be able to check your coach update scheme status
  3. Upload additional qualifications
    You can upload additional qualification including those gained outside England
  4. Upload and record your credentials
    You can upload and record credentials including First Aid and Time to Listen certificates
  5. Stay informed
    You will get notifications when the expiry dates for credentials and qualifications are coming up

Benefits to clubs

  1. Improved club affiliation process
    Improved club affiliation process with clubs able to complete it online, and pay online using a card or standing order

  2. Update information online
    Club administrators will be able to view and update club information online

  3. View club member information
    Clubs administrators will be able to view their club members in their portal including the members Emergency Contact Information

  4. View reports
    View reports on club members and coaches

  5. Control communications preferences
    Option to offer club Associate membership to non British Canoeing members and for them to receive communications
