British Canoeing is set to launch a new paracanoe talent club partnership programme, aimed at developing the next generation of elite athletes.
Funded by Sports Aid’s Backing the Best scheme, the programme will enable clubs to play a crucial role in the creation of a world-class Paracanoe talent pathway, which cultivates talent and creates opportunities for more athletes to become part of the World Class Programme. It will also support clubs to increase the numbers of disabled participants in paddle sports.
Eligible clubs will be able to apply for additional funding to support coaches and additional equipment and infrastructure where needed.
Roger Weir (lead co-ordinator) and Colin Radmore (Paracanoe Senior Podium Technical Coach) will be presenting details at the Sprint Racing Seminaron Saturday 10th November. They will also be available for questions and answers.
The application process will open on Monday 12th November via the British Canoeing website.
