British Canoeing has launched a new partnership with JAMIN Sports to provide travel packages for supporters attending international events.
The purpose of the British Canoeing Supporters Club is to enable followers of the sport to travel more easily and cost-effectively to intentional canoeing events.
In the 2018 season JAMIN Sports will be offering a package – including travel, accommodation, transfers - for the Sprint Junior & U23 World Championships being held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
If the trip is popular the partnership will look to offer more travel packages for supporters to see British competitors in action in international competitions.
David Joy, Chief Executive of British Canoeing said:
“I am delighted that we have launched the British Canoeing Supporters Club and will be working in partnership with JAMIN Sports, who have a great track record in delivering travel packages for international events.
We have a core of British supporters who travel independently to international events and make their own arrangements. Due to the locations for some international competition this can often be challenging, expensive and time consuming to achieve.– David Joy, Chief Executive of British Canoeing
“Therefore we very much hope that this new initiative will enable families and friends, members, clubs and fans of the sport to support our athletes competing at international events.”
JAMIN Sports was established by Ben Woolnough in 2011. It is an independent sports tour operator and a leading player in providing travel packages to international athletics events.
Speaking about the launch of the British Canoeing Supporters Club, Ben Woolnough said:
“We look forward to meeting many members and fans in Plovdiv and helping everyone travel to events and competitions around the world in a hassle free, safe and fun way at great prices. Our phones are always on and we are happy to answer any questions anytime. See you in Bulgaria!”
