Thanks to everyone who attended the event at AS Watersports. We had a great discussion on the night regarding topics as diverse as Access Arrangements and working in partnership on rivers through to protecting our waters from Invasive Non-Native Species.
You can read more about the conversations on the night in the notes from the event, which are available as a download below. You can also download Pete Thorn’s (our RWA for the south west) update to the region – which shows the amount of work he and others are putting in on behalf of paddlers across the region. Our thanks to Pete for this dedicated work, and to Pete and AS Watersports for arranging and hosting the event.
We’d love to make this the first of regular events across England. If your club, association or centre could host our Waterways & Environment team for a few hours please do get in touch. We want to talk to paddlers about the access issues they face across disciplines – and to begin working more in partnership to help find solutions.
Would you like to ask the waterways and environment team about the work they are doing to help improve access? Come along to their open event at AS Watersports in Exeter on the Wednesday 26th April.
The event is open to all paddlers, both members and non members, and the team would like to hear your questions, ideas and concerns on any aspect of our environment and access projects.
As part of the event the team would like to share:
Booking is not essential, but it would be useful to have an idea of how many people will be in attendance. If you would like to attend please email email@example.com to register your interest.
If you are unable to come along please feel free to send any questions you’d like reading out at the event as we will be sending an update to share feedback from the night with our members.
