C1 World Champion Mallory Franklin has been nominated for the BT Sport Action Woman of the Year Award for 2017
It has been a hugely successful season for the canoe slalom athlete, taking home her first senior World Championship gold medal, after a thrilling run during the C1 final in Pau giving her a fantastic victory.
Alongside that, Mallory walked away with the C1 Team gold in France with fellow C1 athletes Kimberley Woods and Eilidh Gibson.
The Windsor paddler also shone at the U23 World Championships in Bratislava, where Mallory won three medals for her excellent performances, including gold in the C1 event, as well as a silver medal in the K1 discipline.
The BT Sports awards, now in their fifth year, celebrate the ten most exceptional sporting performances by British female athletes throughout 2017.

The winner will be revealed at the BT Sport Action Woman of the Year Awards show, presented by Clare Balding on BT Sport 2, from 19:30 on Monday 4 December, 2017.
