British Canoeing membership covers you whether you use a canoe, kayak, sit on top or stand up paddleboard.
Our members are at the heart of everything we do, and we are aware that not being able to paddle has had a large impact. We wanted to say Thank you, to you and the whole paddling community for staying united through this pandemic.
We’re pleased that some levels of paddling can now take place, but please ensure any paddling is in line with our latest guidance ensuring both safe and responsible paddling within Government guidance during this time.
Please be aware that we are not currently able to process and physically send out membership cards due to Covid-19, but all members will receive a PDF digital copy as proof of membership within an email directly after membership payment.

If you are seeking to join British Canoeing, renew your membership, or simply view the details of your current membership, then you can do all this through our online membership system.
How to sign up online as a new member
We have four categories to choose from. You can sign up to three of these through our membership system. To sign up online choose the right category for you below, click 'Sign Up Online', and sign up on our membership system.

How to renew your membership online
If you are seeking to renew, head over to the membership portal here. If you haven't used the portal yet, find your membership number, click the link above, click on What's My User Name and follow the instructions. If you have any problems, click the Need Help? button on the home page.
Please note: If you live in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland you will need to login and join through the relevant Home Nation membership portal: Scottish membership, Welsh Membership, Northern Ireland membership.
