Often due to new surroundings and a change to lifestyle patterns, tracking and supporting student’s initial interest in canoeing and maintaining regular participation has often been left to the university clubs alone.
In order to capture and develop that interest as well as appeal to newcomers, British Canoeing has several opportunities aimed at helping boost the number of University students participating in Paddlesport.
The following Opportunities and Resources are specifically designed for students.
- U Canoe
- Higher Education Canoe Representative Scheme
- BUCS
- Duke of Edinburgh Award
- Personal Performance Awards
- Go Canoeing
- Clubs
- Coaching and Leadership
- Support with Funding
British Canoeing has a team of Area Development Officers based regionally across England. If you would like further advice or guidance about any of the information within this section contact your local British Canoeing Area Development Officer.
