Super September Events


Super September is back for the third year running!

British Canoeing aim to help raise the profile of canoeing competitions in the UK and to showcase the breadth and diversity of our sport. In its third year, the British Canoeing Super September events will see two large mega events taking place, comprising of six key events from the 2018 calendar that demonstrate the high quality of competitions that already exist across the disciplines of sprint, slalom, WWR, freestyle, rafting, polo and more!

We hope to see as many of you come along to cheer on some of the best athletes in the world in their fields, to get selfies with Olympians and Paralympians and to give canoeing a go! 


1-2 September 2018

Holme Pierrepont National Watersports Centre, Nottingham

If you come down to Holme Pierrepont Country Park on the first weekend in September, you will be sure to catch some canoeing in action. This weekend will include:

- the Sprint and Paracanoe National Championships on the regatta lake.

- the Freestyle European Open and the Wild Water Racing National Championships on the white water course

- the Polo British Open on the polo pitches next to the wakeboard park.

This mega event will be a great day out  for all the family. 

Look out over the white water waves on the course where the freestyle athletes will be performing tricks and stunts in their boats to get the most points to be crowned the champion. Or catch a wild water racer flying past looking to be the fastest to reach the bottom of white water course.

Relax by the regatta lake and watch the Sprint and Paracanoe athletes battling it out to become the National Champions.

Or walk over to the polo pitches where you will not be disappointed by the action Canoe Polo brings, where tactics, speed and strength will prove which team deserve to be the British Open champs!

15-16 September 2018

Lee Valley White Water Centre, London 

This multi-discipline event will include the Slalom British Open, the Rafting British Open and a Boater X competition. Showcasing some of the best white water paddlers in the UK.

Slalom Paddlers will battle it out in the Division 1 & 2 competitions to be the British Open champions, White Water Rafting teams will be racing down the course to be the fastest team, and a Boater X competition will involve competitors battling it out together to reach the bottom of the course in the fastest time.

With activities for the family to take part in, great competition to watch and an event village to walk around, this event will be a great day out for all the family.
