Coach Update Scheme

As a coach, you’ll recognise you need to continually maintain your skills to reflect current best practice in coaching paddlesport. Our Coach Update Scheme recognises those coaches who meet the criteria required for keeping up to date.

Coaching Matters Events

To support your development as a coach, British Canoeing offers a programme of Coaching Matters events. English events are organised alongside the Regional Development Teams and run by Coaching Representatives, these provide development opportunities locally.

Accredited Prior Learning

British Canoeing recognises that many aspirant coaches, leaders and providers and those wishing to transfer from other award systems or other countries may bring relevant experiences and qualifications to their role from other sports, countries and learning opportunities, and offers an Accredited Prior Learning (APL) service.
