British Canoeing Places to Paddle

The waterways and oceans are the canoeists playing field and the places where we go canoeing can vary widely, unlike other sports. From rivers and canals, to regatta lakes, pitches, play spots and white water courses; from man made to natural, remote to urban. There is truly something for everyone.

It is vitally important that British Canoeing continues to take a lead in protecting and securing places to go paddling. Currently we maintain a number of sites nationally that provide us with fantastic places to get on the water. Thousands of paddlers each year benefit from the efforts of local volunteers, working on behalf of British Canoeing to maintain iconic venues like Symonds Yat Rapid, the Washburn and Cardington.

These pages will hopefully offer inspiration and information on how you can take advantage of British Canoeing places to paddle.
